I hate snow!!
Since moving to Chicago, we were able to wear our "summer clothes" about 2 months and then they went into a box under the bed. Two weeks ago we hit 74. It was an AMAZING feeling. I came home all excited to get my summer clothes out and ready to put away my Ugg boots! When John got home I was like lets go do it now, I don't want to see our winter clothes any longer! He said, Kim don't get you hopes up we will have one more snow at least. I decided to wait until the weekend to get my clothes out. That night while watching the weather they said that we had tied the record for the day! I was like WHAT!!!! How can it be 74 in the middle of March and this tie the record!! That had to have been one of the most depressing days of my life. Well now today on March 29th we look outside and EVERYTHING is covered in snow. They said some of the suburbs got 7"!!!! I hate this!! I feel like it won't be until May until we get to get out our summer clothes. Do you know what its like to almost be April and there hasn't been a day yet that we can walk around without a jacket! We are still wearing our boots and sweaters and jackets!! Anyway, I think we need a tropical vacation so we know what it is like to feel the sun on our skin! Now I just have to convince John.

Confessions
My friend Kristal and I went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic on Monday. It was SO cute!! They put a funny spin on something that is so serious right now. Then I read my People magazine and there is a lady in there who has $120,000 in credit card debt from buying designer clothes!! I was like what the crap! That is crazy. After I read that people magazine I still thought the movie was great, but it really made me think about all the people that are in trouble right now.
While I am on the topic of movies, John and I went to see Watchmen on Saturday. When did it get ok to have porn in a rated R movie??? There were multiple scenes of completely naked people and it didn't help the story line at all. Also it was one of the goriest movies I have EVER seen!! If we hadn't have gone with a group of people we would have walked out. I held my hands over my eyes more than once. Basically, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!! IT IS DEFINITELY NO A MOVIE TO TAKE YOUR KIDS TO EVEN THOUGH IT IS ABOUT SUPERHEROS!!

Valentine's Day
John and I had a great Valentine's Day. He gave me some beautiful pink roses. They are dying today though, and that makes me sad. I got him a photo book. What I mean by photo book is on kodakgallery you can choose the pictures and write captions for them and they will put them in an actual book like a scrapbooked page. I made the book with pictures of us from our last 3.5 years of marriage. It was SO cool and John LOVED it. Then we went out to dinner at this place named Feast. It is in our neighborhood and I have heard great things.
Like I said before we had a GREAT Valentine's Day, but the day after was AWFUL!! That is because I got food poisoning!!! I have never had it before and plan on never having it again!! I was MISERABLE for days. Thankfully my company allows me to work from home, which I did for the majority of the week. I ate my first meal on Thursday night and I seem to have made a good recovery.
Anyway, the food at Feast was great, but I don't recommend going b/c the aftertaste is not so good!!

The nicest day yet
We had a break from the cold. It was 50 degree yesterday. As you can see in my pictures that most of the snow melted. It isn't going to last for long, but John and I made sure to take advantage of it. John hadn't been to Millennium Park or to see "The Bean" so I took him. We had a wonderful day. We just walked around soaking up the sun. It was great! I can't wait for summer!
Also, there is an outdoor ice skating rink at Millennium Park. It was too crowded for us to skate (since we are SO bad), but I hope to go back and do it sometime.
Luke Bryan and Wade Bowen
John and I went to see Wade Bowen open up for Luke Bryan last Friday. We didn't know many of Luke Bryan's songs, but the concert was SOLD OUT. In Chicago that NEVER happens. We even went to see Craig Morgan last summer and it didn't sell out.
Anyway this is at our TINY neighborhood country bar. It was SO crowded! You couldn't even go to the bathroom without pushing everyone out of the way. Half way through I got a little anxiety attack where I got light headed because there was so many people around. All in all it was a great concert.
The best thing about concerts at Joe's Bar is that the singers always interact with the audience. There was a really tall guy there with a white board. As you see above Wade Bowen got it and wrote on it. Luke Bryan did the same thing.
At the end Luke Bryan's half of the show he told us we were going to tape a music video! We were like WHAT??? It is a song that hasn't come out yet. The name of it is "It's time to take my drunk ass home"!! He taught us the chorus and then we sang it 3 times just to make sure we got enough footage for the music video. At one point I'm singing along and John picks me up and moves me to the right. I whip around to find out what is going on and there is a camera standing right next to me. I can tell you one thing, my ARM will definetly be in that music video. I was waving it right in front of the camera. So anyone who has CMT needs to look for that music video and let us know (since we don't have cable). So we happened to be at the right place at the right time for once!!
