Transformers

Last night there was a World Premiere for the trailer of the new Transformers movie out this summer. It was showing at the IMAX at Navy Pier. John got free tickets, but the funny thing was we thought it was free tickets for the World Premier of the movie. Anyway, we show up and there is a HUGE line. I stood in line for 1.5 hours before we finally got to pick a seat. We had never seen a movie at the IMAX and we sat in the middle. Well the screen was WAY too big for an action movie. Anyway, we get there and they say this is the World Premier for the trailer; they are going to play the trailer, play the old movie from 2007 and then play the trailer again. We hadn't seen the original movie and it was really good. The funny thing is since they showed the preview first they kind of ruined parts of the movie for us, but it was still good.
ET happened to be there and they were interviewing people. They aired it on ET tonight, but I didn't get to watch, so if you thought "that looks like John and Kim" then you were RIGHT!!

Quilting

I have taken up quilting. I decided to teach myself and I have taken a class to show me how to finish the quilt once I have the top together. I've been using my mom's machine from the 1970's. It works great, but I was not able to get the attachments I needed to finish my quilts. I started telling John I needed a new machine. He kept saying, No you don't. Well I finally broke him and took home my new machine last Friday. I got a brand new Singer Confidence Quilter 7469Q. I'm so excited to get all my projects done!
